Guardian General Insurance Limited is proud to announce our continued sponsorship of the Guardian Group Pride of Villa Netball Team. This year marks 28 years of supporting these high-performing athletes who have been consistently dominating on the netball court.

From the humble origins of a small community-based club in Brittons Hill, Pride of Villa built its legacy on a singular vision of creating a positive outlet for sports development. Over the years, this remarkable team has consistently demonstrated excellence, discipline and top-class sportsmanship, with several of their talented players earning local and international recognition. 

As of recent, two of their high-performing teammates, Tabia Cox and Zipporah Greenidge-Mackey were selected for the Barbados Under 16 team. Additionally, the club's senior players Faye Agard, Latonia Blackman and Sabreena Smith will be attending the Senior Trials in preparation for the upcoming OECS Tournament to be held in Grenada.

Our Guardian Group Pride of Villa Netball Team is currently contending in three divisions in the Barbados Netball Association's 2025 Tournament – Premier League, Division 5 and Division 7B. The ladies have truly proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with, as they have won all of their games so far!

At the recent handover of new sports gear to the team, Mrs. Faye Agard, Club Secretary and spokesperson, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Guardian General. 

"Twenty-eight years of sponsorship is a clear indication that Guardian General is fully supportive of our club, and this gives us extra motivation to go out there and perform to the best of our abilities. This season, we are hopeful to capture all three division titles and win some MVPs along the way. We are also focused on succession planning for our club, and have already began recruiting very young players from neighbouring primary schools to help with the development of the sport as they continue through the age ranks."
