Product FAQs

An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is an investment fund that is traded on stock exchanges throughout the trading day, much like stocks and unlike mutual funds. An ETF holds assets such as stocks, commodities, or bonds, and trades close to its net asset value over the course of the trading day. ET F's provide investors with immediate diversification within a low cost, easily tradeable vehicle. Most ETF's track an index, such as the S&amp;P 500 Index.

What is an ETF?

We select our ETFs based on what's in the best interest for our clients. Therefore, we do not limit which ETF provider to use.

What ETF's do you use for your portfolios?

Yes, you must fund your Genius account with US$.

Do I require US$ to open a Genius Account?

You can open a Genius account by first visiting the Genius website at GAMGenius.com.Select "Get Started" and complete the Investor Profile Evaluation Questionnaire and online application form. Once the application and on boarding forms are signed you willneed to also provide the following documents for each account holder: <ul><li>Valid Government Issued Identification (Passport, Drivers Permit, National ID)</li><li>Proof of Address (Utility bill in name of applicant less than 3 months old)</li><li>Proof of Income (Letter from employer,</li><li>Recent payslip, other suitable support)</li><li>Tax Identification Number (TIN) for country of tax residence (e.g., BIR number)</li></ul>

How do I open a Genius Account?

Yes. Note however there will be only one login username and password for the account.

Can I open a Joint Account on Genius?

Once you have completed and submitted your signed application it will take approximately 5 to 7 days for your account to be opened at our Broker/custodian.

How long does it take to open a Genius account?

Our account minimum is US$5,000, which allows us to provide you with an optimised allocation across asset classes.

What is the minimum amount required to open a Genius account?

You are welcome to open as many accounts as you would like as long as each has a minimum of US$5,000. Many of our clients like to open dedicated accounts for each of their savings needs such as buying a house, financing their kids' college, and saving for retirement. Note, however that each account opened will use the same selected investment portfolio based on your risk profile. In order to have a different risk profile for other accounts you will need to complete a new Investor Profile Evaluation and use a separate email address.

Can I open multiple Genius accounts?

You can fund your account via a Bank Wire Transfer, Cheque/Draft or a transfer from an existing account you have at Guardian Asset Management. Bank Wire Transfer: This option lets you move funds directly between a checking, savings or investment account directly to our Bank Account. Contact our GAM Client Services team at 868-226-2799 or at <a href="mailto:GAMClientServices@myguardiangroup.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" download="mailto:GAMClientServices@myguardiangroup" class="precache" style="color: rgb(39, 36, 36); background-color: transparent;">GAMClientServices@myguardiangroup.com</a> to obtain the wireinstructions. Cheque Deposit: This option will take longer to settle in your account as we can only make investments for you when we have received cleared funds. US$ Cheques/Drafts should be made payable to Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited.

How do I fund my account?

There are currently 5 portfolios offered by Genius which are recommended based on your tolerance for risk as assessed by our Investor Profile Evaluation Questionnaire.

What are the Portfolios that are available with Genius?

Yes. At the point of completing the online Investor Profile Evaluation Questionnaire you can adjust the responses until you reach your desired Portfolio. You also have the opportunity to contact us at 868-226-2799 or <a href="mailto:GAMClientServices@myguardiangroup.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" download="mailto:GAMClientServices@myguardiangroup" class="precache" style="color: rgb(39, 36, 36); background-color: transparent;">GAMClientServices@myguardiangroup.com</a> and request that your portfolio selection be updated to one of the other options of your choosing.&nbsp; You will be required to sign accepting your new portfolio allocation. If your account is already invested there will be a rebalancing preformed on your portfolio to reflect the newallocations.

Can I change the recommended Portfolio if I don't like the one suggested or if my circumstances change?

Each portfolio is comprised of a mix of ETF's including exposure to equities, bonds, cash equivalents and cash. The Risk Averse portfolio is the only portfolio that has no exposure to equities. The weightings of ETF's in each portfolio will differ based on the level of risk associated with the individual portfolio.

What are the investments included in each Portfolio?

You can withdraw any amount as often as you would like, once you maintain a minimum balance of US$5,000 in your account. This minimum balance is to ensure you portfolio is invested in an optimum manner across asset classes. Please take into account the broker withdrawal fee and bank wire fees when planning for amount and frequency of any withdrawal.

How much funds can I withdraw from my Genius account?

Guardian Asset Management does not charge fees for withdrawals. Our broker/custodian does however charge fees for each withdrawal and our bankers also charge fees for each wiretransfer.

Does Guardian Asset Management charge fees to withdraw funds?

The timing of a withdrawal depends on several factors including what time of day the withdrawal request is made and the institution receiving your funds, but most withdrawals take 5 to 7 business days before the requested funds are back in your bankaccount.When you request a withdrawal from your account, we will send you an email within one business day and call you to verify that the request is valid. Once you verify your withdrawal request, we will place the trades to raise the required cash in your account. All trades then take 3 business days to settle (This applies to all brokerage firms). Upon trade settlement, we then wire the funds from our custodian to our local bank account and then wire the funds to your identified banking institution or prepare a draft for your collection.

How long does it take to withdraw my funds?

If you withdraw funds from your account, we will reduce any overweight asset classes to move you toward your target allocation. If you're already at your target, then we reduce theinvestments pro rata to maintain your target allocation.

What happens to my asset allocation when I withdraw funds?

Genius invests your money all at once. The benefit of investing in a portfolio of relatively uncorrelated asset classes is that when one asset class is up, it's likely others are down. Therefore, the timing of when you invest is relatively unimportant.

Does Genius invest my funds all at once or do dollar cost averaging?

We purchase only whole shares of ETF's for you. This leaves some cash uninvested until there is enough to buy more whole shares according to your portfolio. There is also a buffer used to cover fees on your account.

Why is there uninvested cash in my account?

Your portfolio account is monitored daily to ensure that your portfolio weighting is within a tolerance band. If your portfolio exceeds the tolerance band, we may decide to rebalance yourportfolio. We will also use any new funds and cash distribution to rebalance the portfolio.

How often do you rebalance my portfolio?

We chose each of the ET F's because we believe they represent the best way to invest in each corresponding asset class. We offer a "managed service" that attempts to solve your long-term portfolio needs and are therefore not necessarily appropriate for "do-it-yourselfers."

Can I replace any of the ETF's Genius recommends?

We're sorry, but we don't allow customisation beyond risk tolerance at this time.

Can I customise my allocation for my environmental, social or religious preferences?

No. As Genius is invested in specific ETF's based on the Investor Profile Evaluation, we do not accept transfers of other securities to comprise your portfolio. You can however transfer USD cash from an existing brokerage account to fund your Genius account.

Can I transfer a portion of an existing brokerage account to Genius?

We maximise the protection of your assets by doing the following: • Third party custodian: Your assets are held in an account at a third-party custodian. • SIPC Protection: Our broker partner is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) which protects against the loss of cash and securities held by a customer at a financially troubled SIPC member brokerage firm. The limit is US$500,000. That means at no time can we leverage the securities held in your account to obtain a loan for further investing or any other purpose.

How do you protect the assets in my account?

Each month you are charged an investment management fee of .85%. This fee is calculated daily on the net market value of your invested assets and is booked monthly to your account.You will also incur a commission on trades made on your behalf at our broker. The commissions are some of the lowest commissions on the market.

What are the fees charged and how are fees calculated?

Management fees for a particular calendar month are charged on the first business day of the following month.

When do you charge your investment management fee?

No.

Are you paid a trailer or referral fee from any of the ETF companies?

When you login to your account you can view:<ul><li>the transactions on your account</li><li>the portfolio value and any drift away from the target allocation.</li><li>the fees charged to your account</li><li>Your application documents.</li><li>Your monthly statement of account</li></ul>
